NEW PATIENT: WHAT TO EXPECT

Step 1:  HISTORY

At your first visit the Doctor will sit with you and take a complete and thorough history of your medical condition. The history is a key factor in achieving the correct diagnosis and guides their decision in the appropriate form of treatment best suited to you.

Step 2:  EXAMINATION

The Doctor will perform a highly detailed spinal examination consisting of Chiropractic as well as orthopaedic and neurological tests. This examination is likely to be the most thorough spinal examination you will ever undertake. It is designed to find your limitations and areas of weakness, stiffness, injury or impeded function.

Step 3:  XRAY ANALYSIS

All of our Doctors are also trained radiographers. We have on-site xray facilities for your convenience. All x-rays are bulk billed through medicare.

Step 4:  REPORT OF FINDINGS

The most important part. The Doctor will take into account all of the information, combining your history, examination and xrays to give you a diagnosis and to guide you as to what needs to be done to help you with your condition.  If you qualify as a successful candidate for Chiropractic treatment the Doctor will guide you through what needs to be done and treatment may be commenced.

Step5:   SPECIAL APPOINTMENT

An important part of dealing with back and neck problems is centred around education. The Doctor will organise for you to attend a special appointment or workshop to give you a basic understanding of back problems, things you can do to prevent injury and assist in the long term maintenance of your spine, and correct choice of pillows, mattresses, sleeping positions etc.

YOU ARE NOW ON YOUR WAY TO LONG TERM SPINAL HEALTH.
